1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LabAnimal ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

LabAnimal is a laboratory animal compliance management system that provides the following features:

  • Laboratory animal record management (animals, cages, rooms)
  • IACUC protocol management and approval workflows
  • Health records and mortality reports
  • AVMA euthanasia standard validation
  • 21 CFR Part 11 electronic signatures
  • AAALAC audit preparation
  • Report generation and signature verification

3. Account Registration

Using the Service requires registering an account. You must provide accurate and complete registration information and update it promptly to maintain its accuracy. You are responsible for keeping your account password secure and for all activities under your account.

4. Usage Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service (except for the open-source version, governed by the Apache-2.0 license)
  • Use the Service for animal welfare violations

5. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you input and store through the Service. We will not use your data for any purpose other than providing the Service. You may export your data at any time.

6. Subscription and Payment

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and processed through PayPal. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. See our Refund Policy for details.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, upgrades, or other reasons, and will notify users in advance whenever possible. See our Service Level Agreement for details.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Service does not constitute legal or veterinary advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LabAnimal and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption.

10. Intellectual Property

The open-source components of the Service are governed by the Apache-2.0 license. Non-open-source components (including but not limited to billing logic and enterprise features) are all rights reserved.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use your information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-Service notification. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting support@labanimal.tech.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, and any disputes shall be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction.
